The CA-6 Series Analyzers are a family of on-line sequential sampling analyzers that use Colorimetric technologies to perform an analysis. The CA6 Iron is offered in three ranges 0-1.000 mg/L, 0-10.00 mg/L and 0-50.0 mg/L. The measurement uses the Ferrozine method with one reagent. Reagent 1, Ammonium Thioglycolate and Ferrozine is added to the sample. The thioglycolate reduces the ferric ions to ferrous ions which react with the Ferrozine to develop a deep purple color that is directly proportional to the concentration of iron in the sample. Each analysis uses 0.5 ml of reagent. Each analysis cycle takes approximately 5 minutes.
