The CA-6 Series Analyzers are a family of on-line sequential sampling analyzers that use Colorimetric technologies to perform an analysis. The CA6 nickel is offered in three ranges 0-3.00 mg/L, 0-30.00 mg/L and 0-150.0 mg/L. The measurement uses the Dimethylglyoxime method with three reagents. Reagent 1, ammonium citrate and Reagent 2, sodium persulfate, are added to the sample to complex any iron present and ionize the nickel. Reagent 3, the Dimethylglyoxime, is added and develops an orange-red color that is directly proportional to the concentration of nickel present. Each analysis uses 1.0 ml of each reagent. Each analysis cycle takes approximately 10.5 minutes.
