The CA-6 Series Analyzers are a family of on-line sequential sampling analyzers that use Colorimetric technologies to perform an analysis. The CA6 sulfate, is offered in three ranges 0-50.00 mg/L, 0-500.00 mg/L and 0-2500.0 mg/L. The measurement uses the barium method with two reagents. Reagent 1, an acidic glycol and water mixture removes CO2 from the sample. Reagent 2, barium chloride reacts to form a barium sulfate precipitate. The glycol helps keep the barium sulfate in suspension forming a turbid solution. The turbidity is directly proportional to the sulfate concentration. Each analysis uses 0.5 ml of each Reagent 1 and 0.75 ml of Reagent 2. Each analysis cycle takes approximately 7 minutes.
