The CA-6 Series Analyzers are a family of on-line sequential sampling analyzers that use Colorimetric technologies to perform an analysis. The CA6 zinc, is offered in three ranges 0-2.00 mg/L, 0-20.00 mg/L and 0-100.0 mg/L. The measurement uses the Zincon Thiosulfate method with three reagents. Reagent 1, a sodium thiosulfate solution is added to complex any interfereing ions. Reagent 2, is a pH buffering solution and reagent 3 is the zincon coloring agent. The zincon complexes with the zinc producing a blue complex that is directly proportional to the zinc concentration. Each analysis uses 0.4 ml of each Reagent. Each analysis cycle takes approximately 6 minutes.
