The CA-6 Series Analyzers are a family of on-line sequential sampling analyzers that use Colorimetric technologies to perform an analysis. The CA6 Ammonia is offered in three ranges 0-1.000 mg/L, 0-10.00 mg/L and 0-50.00 mg/L. Ammonia reacts with salicylate and hypochlorite ions in the presence of ferricyanide ions to form the salicylic acid analog of indophenol blue. The resulting color is directly proportional to the concentration of ammonia present. Each analysis uses 0.5 ml of each of the three reagents and one acidic cleaning solution. Each analysis cycle takes approximately 10.5 minutes.
